The
Alaska Paintings
Inspired
by webcam photos she saw on the Internet, Philadelphia
artist and musician Betsy Alexander has begun a series
of small, evocative works known as The Alaska Paintings (3.5" x 5", acrylic on wood).
The constantly updated webcam photos are provided
by the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) as a help to
pilots who need to know the current weather conditions
in various parts of Alaska. Alexander, whose dream
it is to one day travel to and through Alaska, can
be found on the Internet every day checking out the
sunset photos as they are uploaded.
