#26 in the Meet the Artists Who Have Inspired Us to Part with Our Cash series is Dan Gorman. Although Dan works mostly in oils and watercolors in a painterly-realistic style, he also experiments with found-object assemblages. It is one such assemblage that caught our eye while visiting the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading, PA where Dan maintains a studio. The piece we own is from his Alien Greeting Box series. Dan says, "For me, Art is about sharing an experience, sensation, or observation that has demanded my attention. The challenge then becomes to create a similar reaction, in the viewer, that touches them in some way."
