#8 in the Meet the Artists Who Have Inspired Us to Part with Our Cash series is Philadelphia photographer Armond Scavo. I first became familiar with Armond’s work almost 20 years ago when I happened upon a greeting card rack at Robin’s Book Store where I worked at the time. The cards featured the marvelous landscape photography of a local artist. I soon found out that Armond was also the husband of one of my coworkers. We later met, become good friends and I even shared a house with he and his wife for a few of years. A number of years later, after Betsy and I met and married, we began collecting Armond’s work. He is one of my dearest friends and an amazing and dedicated photographer and owner of Earth Light Images Gallery in Philadelphia. The gallery is located at 800 S. 8th. Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147.
